about

its a song about trying. old song i was finally able to do about a close as i could to what i was hearing in head. long time coming. appreciate all who helped make it happen.

lyrics

on a seldom trodden path thirsting
feet hurting asking if i had the truth
why would i continue searching?
steady turning while the page is burning in my hands
tryna separate the grain to find the secret of the sands
i began to retrace my step
every breath appreciated like fine wine i still wasnt able to taste it yet
but felt refreshed
so now when they ask who's next?
i always raise the ante and place my bet
ikarus
heaven bent cloud kicker
but sent here to replenish similar to the nile river
got spirits like inspiration in a bottle
passing gods flask around down to the last swallow
as for tomoro?
i really cant call it..
i gamble w/ the chances cuz i cant afford a forfeit..
im all in so its time to take flight
and slap on my wings to seek beyond sight

too much to give too late to turn away
or not enough words and too much to say
finally a place i may never reach again
and we could never be at a better place to begin..

piece together my purpose
to break the surface of the skin
an attempt to hug the sun to stop the burning from within
it started w/ a dream
plus a feather and some wax
but i dont think im ever coming back
relax..
keep em reaching for the skies
for heading toward the clouds and never telling them why
he gives no reply
its just time to go..
as most are scared of heights sometime you gotta fly solo..
so now im waving goodbye, and feeling high
the wind is underneath as the season is on my side
and i got a mind to try
and why was the reason
the lesson is the question and the test is in the seeking
nobody would believe him
and now they sing his song
on constant play whenever the day is long
so was he wrong?
ikarus died by the flames
but if he never tried
would you ever know his name?

too much to give too late to turn away
or not enough words and too much to say
finally a place i may never reach again
and we could never be at a better place to begin..
